I notice how easily people tend to talk about love, when it concerns their football team, their kids, car or favourite clothes brand.
Ask them how much they love themselves (and this is a great coaching question) and suddenly they become tongue-tied.
Learning to love ourself is part of our lifelong journey and we can know that it’s okay to notice our skill, sigh with satisfaction at our goodness and generally fancy the hell out of ourselves.
Whatever we carry, we can put down. Whatever people have said that’s mean, or uncaring, or just plain outdated we can junk. We can age with grace, act with dignity and love ourselves for being the age we are in the way that we are.
And to be honest we can sidestep the fancy words and the psycho-dynamic affirmations in order to take a long lingering look at ourselves and just love us baby!
Be kind. Take care. Do some lovin’…
