The Power Of Silence

8 June 2014

Silence is the gateway to clear thinking. Our silence encourages other people to talk. We can remain silent and allow ourselves not to be hooked by someone’s barbed comments. We can close our eyes and fall silent for five minutes and tune into the bird song, the rhythm of our heart, and the rise and fall of our breath…to become mindful and relaxed. When we are unsure, lost or nervous, we can fall silent and take time to become grounded again and to generate new options.

Perhaps a silent blog looks like this…

…space for you to fill with your own thoughts and dreams and ‘what ifs’…

This week we can make time for silence and use it to get more out of our working day, or out of our colleagues around us. When will you next harness the power of silence?
