Thank you Vanessa :-) and I agree that TLAs can serve a useful purpose, when both parties have them as a shortcut. Great idea to have a TLA glossary so people can learn them PDQ, that's smart thinking! Maybe we should start an online glossary here, what do you think?

Hi Richard love what your doing here! I have a comment to add: I agree that you need to build trust absoutely but there also has to be a strong element of knowing your customer and applying some sense of familiarity to gain a level of comfort, respect and ultimately trust. I know companies that purely function on the TLAs and use glossaries to ensure newbies learn the TLAs PDQ. Doing the research up front can help speed up the journey to bridging that trust gap.
Keep doing what you do - it's great!
Best wishes

Thank you Slimboy and I agree...do watch out for those FLAs (5 letter acronyms)...they can give people real indigestion.

Very useful Mr Maun! Avoiding consultancy metaphors and acronyms an absolute must especially when working in ground level ops. Even the useful exercise of performing a SIPOC exercise before a mapping exercise with post-it notes on brown paper can cause problems if you call it a SIPOC!
